I have not a high opinion of the man but the sprouting medical schools empower resourced families to bypass the established order to enable C students, mostly under family pressure, to pursue a course that some willing A students could secure. Now, here we have an average student pursuing a course that will push them beyond the elastic limit in an institution that would be unwilling to fail or expel them. Of course, lots of compromises will happen along the way, and the effects will show much later in employment.
You cannot compare that to a public institution where A students constantly fight for their lives in the hands of instructors who could be put into question if all students make it.
