Cheptebo is a centre that has AIC church with an agricultural exhibition centre for farmers along the Kerio valley. It's located along the C51 Eldoret-Iten-Kabarnet road. Some 33 kilometres away from the (in)famous Kimwarer area.

Kolowa is in Baringo County along the Kerio valley located in Tiaty/Pokot East, it borders Tot in Marakwet East EMC and Chesongoch in West Pokot County

Not really, 😄, Kakapul/Kolowa is in the other side of the escarpment, let me put it like this way using a place you can relate with, the project is in a place like ruai in Nairobi, while Kolowa is across the ndarugo river valley in Juja farm, Mark you, Kimwarer to Kolowa is the same distance as from Nairobi CBD to Malili, Machakos/Makueni county border, along the Mombasa road.
The closer project would be Arror in Marakwet West, which is about 50Kms away from Kolowa, but still on the other side of the escarpment across the Kerio river valley.

The elevation of the Elgeyo marakwet side of the Kerio valley, makes it suitable for the dams since, their mosop(Highlands are quite high) and are highly forested with natural water sources, unlike the Tugen hills in Baringo County, which are at a lower elevation and therefore can only afford some seasonal rivers, which have no bridges but slabs, that sometimes sweep off vehicle, like the ASTU Officers lorry from Chemoe back in 2019(May they continue resting in peace).
