The Jubilee Party is about to declare the seats of their six nominated senators vacant. The errands are being kicked out for associating with Deputy President William Ruto.
The six senators have already stated that they will fight their removal to the bitter end. These senators are Issaac Mwaura, who represents people with disabilities, Millicent Omanga, Mary Seneta, Falhada Dekow, Naomi Waqo, and Victor Prengei, who represents youth. After consulting on the proposal made by the Party Disciplinary Committee, the National Management Committee (NMC) expelled them.
Jubilee had written to the Registar's Office and the Independent Electroral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). As the Registar has approved the removal of the six from the party's membership list, Speaker Keneth Lusaka will declare the seat vacant. This means that the IEBC will begin the process of replacing the expelled senators.
President Uhuru will have a difficult time nominating the remaining six senators because the members expected to be nominated are allies of Ruto.
