7 patients succumb to Covid-19, 355 discharged

Kenya has today recorded 561 new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 6,387 tested in the last 24 hours.

Total tally in the country is now at 89,661. So far the country has tested 945, 323 sample since March.

Nairobi county leads with 189, Mombasa 85, Bungoma 65, Busia 36, Jericho 19, Kiambu 19, Kwale 19, Kisumu 17, Embu 13, Kilifi 12, Nakuru and Lamu 11, Uasin Gishu and Marsabit with nine.

Others are Kakamega seven, Nyeri and Kirinyaga with six cases each, Machakos and Laikipia with four cases each, Kajiado 3, Murang’a, Homa Bay, Turkana, Makueni and Tana River with two cases each, while Taita Taveta, Nyandarua, Elgeyo Marakwet, Vihiga, Meru, Siaya and Trans Nzoia have one case each.

Fortunately, 355 patients have been discharged from various facilities in the country, bringing the total recoveries to 70,194

7 have succumbed to the virus, death to rises to 1,552
