404 new Covid-19 cases, positivity rate now at 8.2%

Kenya has today announced 404 new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 4878 tested in the last 24hours. This now brings the total caseload to 92, 459

Positivity rate is now at 8.2%.

871 patients are admitted in various hospitals across the country while 6,284 patients are on the home-based care programme.

46 patients are admitted in ICU.

527 patients have been discharged, 119 are from various facilities across the country while 408 were from the Homebased care program. Total recoveries in the country is now at 73,979.

Out of the 404 new cases, Nairobi leads with 118, Kilifi 110, Mombasa 66, Makueni 26, Nakuru 23, Kiambu 12, Kisumu 11, Turkana 9, Kwale 5, Nyeri 5, Siaya 4, Kajiado 4, Murang'a 3.

Machakos 2, Meru, Kakamega, Kericho, Kirinyaga, Marsabit and Lamu recorded single cases each.

Unfortunately, the country has lost 11 patients to Covid-19, this brings total fatalities to 1,604
