Factos
1. Uhuru is the architect of our current economic trouble. Failure, felia, feliaa. Ferk him wherever he is, and whoever defended his economic madness in and out of this forum.

2. JS's govt has been a failure on its part too, but they had little choice. But there is one achievement I'd consider worth appreciating: Averting debt default. Bruh, Ghanaians have been thru a lot after the debt default, and it's not something you'd like to happen here.

3. JS'S popularity could have dipped, but that doesn't matter. What matters is the popularity in the last yr of his term. The average memory of a Kenyan huwa just few wks, and those who have better mwmory, yao huwa few months.

4. Kenyans need to know what's good/works for them, and clearly, democracy ain't one of them. To the west, liberalism and democracy seems to be a thing. In Russia, their security and keeping the country together is a priority, to China, getting people out of poverty really drove them. What are our priorities? Saizi all that's in JS's mind is how he will get re-elected and even influence elections in future. That's why he can waste millions launching a borehole.

5. There are no prospects for better days because we will keep electing conmen, fraudsters, charlatans, and thieves. Probability of a clean upright man getting elected is close to none.

The majority kenyans who defended the looting are the same ones defending nabii. Remember in 2014-2016, when their was massive looting by the uhuruto administration, the same kenyans defended it, actually some folks thought that kenyans will eject them in 2017but we did the same thing.

Even ruto knows , the same scenario is being played again, same kenyans who are whining now are the same ones who will vote him back in 2027.

It's the same reason democracy can't work here.
First you need a sweet tongue to influence people. There is 99.9% Probability that those who can influence others easily are conmen.

In a country of poor people, their basic needs are priority. Most of thr time, you only need to feed them, give little token as low as ksh. 200, attend their fundraiser to build a church etc to get love from them. A hungry person can not think straight.

You need billions to campaign. So you must be rich, or have financiers with deep pockets. It's only those who havent got those billions thru hardwork that will splash them the way they do here. Again, no sane person can spend his billions to campaign so as to get few millions as salary. So the goal of a politician spending billions in campaign is to loot billions as return.

We remember a time kenyans wrote to America and other lenders to stop dealing with uhuru and giving him loans, even international media covered it up...it was obvious the debt situation was going to result in higher taxes.
But anyway, people will pretend that things started going bad last month

That aside. Higher taxes doesn't necessarily mean it solves our debt problem. Greatest problem here is currency depreciation. No matter how much revenue they'll collect, debt keeps growing by a bigger percentage. To be truthful we are so lucky not to have defaulted, and is guess the reason is coz most of the loan obligations so far have been ksh denominated. Ka ingekuwa dollar denominated, I guess that would be a different story.
