Ile kitu najua, if you lose money in Equity, that is the end of the story. They will take you in circles forever pretending to conduct investigations. And it is almost impossible to sue them because they hold all the evidence you need to do so successfully.

There have been a lot of tweets about loss of money theft in Ekwiti, other banks too, which they all don't respond to. Or they respond to "in private". I don't know why they decided to respond to this one in public.

Maybe the extortionists became too many or too greedy.

Notably, Equity has the largest customer base so the incidence of risk is higher and therefore more likekly to be reported or exposed.

Inakuwaga war council PR, Legal, Security, and in this case IT coz the problem is about cyberfraud., headed by C-Suite Exec. Rarely are crises dealt with silo-style coz at some point they need escalation to another level- and direction- and everyone needs to be in the pic from when crisis is identified and classified as one.

In your opinion, was the first letter "escalation" a mis step, or to re-phrases, would you have adviced them to take that 1st step?

Sometimes those twitter "influenzas" overrate their influence and reach.
The mama soko in Kitui who holds an account in the bank probably doesn't know of the fire raging on twitter.
Customers take very little drama to cancel a run on a bank. Do you remember the Machakos incident?
