Government Vs Media

Good news already. Someone needs to tell RMS and others playing Kum Kum Bagya and Nollywood on repeat is not going to cut it anymore.
Don't get lost because of your personal preferences. There are a lot of "soap-buyers" that watch that dumbed down content that you and I despise. And as long as they do the soap companies will advertize there. Media houses like the mass circulation content because it is dirt cheap compared to own productions.

If the govt sticks to it's guns and the 'main' media houses refuse to air the shared signal so be it.

People forget the shit these people tried to pull a few years ago during digital migration. If I remember well they even shut themselves down for a couple of months to prevent migration so other players don't enter the space. They wanted to control the digital pipestream.

Private interests should never, ever be able to supercede the public good. Today our electronic media space is the most dynamic in sub-Saharan Africa thanks to govt sticking to it's guns. Thousands of young Kenyans now work in the hundreds of radio and TV stations that have sprung up, either directly or through content creation.

Wakwende!

Not only KBC. There are so many stations that would take up the feed.

This is why, as I have pointed up there, why the cartel wanted to control the digital network. They could shut anybody down...
shida ni ,will the feed be free? if yes all stations should pick it up, tuko na more than enough channels. But dstv are not known for offering free feeds even on public events
