if you studied in a Nairobi city council nursery school like I did back in the days, then you must have enjoyed the services of the below kitchen. I truly enjoyed my nursery school days. The food was really nice. breakfast was chocolate with/without milk for those who didn't take milk + buttered bread or mahamri, lunch was a different meal everyday but my favorite was macaroni+ minced meat and greens then 3 0'clock tea with mahamri delivered to the school every single day and on time.

Even primary schools were unbelievably equipped, had huge spaces and playgrounds and the teachers were motivated...the best being those on training. Extra-curricular activities were encouraged as were other activities such as Boy Scouts and Girl Guides. Oh, there was maziwa ya Nyayo once in a while and the cost I believe was cheap.
As the 90s ended, so did the rise of private schools become a thing. Such a sad state of affairs now
