Well, I understand that guy required any roof over his head, power unto him. Lakini kama hauko kwa corner like that guy, fanya vitu the right way. Hii nyumba ya huyu jamaa has too many short cuts that will cost him money matters maintanance in the future
E.g, I know soils za hiyo area, hii foundation is not nearly deep enough, na hiyo concrete amemwaga hapo ni jokes

As it has been said he was in a fix....if you aren't, just follow the right process. Eventually, he might in future come to bring it down

I think so. I need to do my research and also investigate the quality of the build. What is your view on these properties considering uko na experience?
I only considered places near Mombasa Road as well as past Ronga but furthest Kiserian. Came across some wonderful gems.
On an 1/8th, three bedrooms start from 5.5M on the lower side all the way to hadi 12M. Most though wamefinya land if it's a developed place. Unapata like 5 houses built on a half.
But some are legit with superior finishing and excellent amenities.

An example is this really nice house near the SGR going for 6.75M

Why are people not opting for open roofs though to maximize space? Juzi an engineer was showing me a project he's working on where the owner opted to have a sitting area in the rooftop conplete with a botanical garden and an ultra modern shade. The place was magnificent. Mambo ya roofing is old school.

Great that you've asked.
I put up a thread for that same matter last year and the responses were enlightening: https://kenyanlist.net/index.php?threads/dream-house.12661/
