Back in the day my mum (yes, I too was born) was the women's leader at St Paul's Kiriita, the ACK mother church in Lari. Her bishop was George Muiru Njuguna.
One time I attended a service he was preaching at the Church and I was shocked. The guy spent the whole sermon telling us about his travels to Israel, the need for women to observe hygiene, etc etc.
I told mum the guy was an egocentric piece of shit and she almost stoned me like a Gor Mahia fan.
Two years later he was defrocked - he had been caught with a congregant's wife in Naivasha doing the nasty.

Anglican is the most pretentious church anyone can find himself in. Wanakemea watu ilhali hao ndio waovu zaidi. Nikiwa mless we had padre Joseph O..... Niggar would preach about virtues as if his life depended on them. Angekupata ukikatia dem ile mbio ungetolewa. Fast forward and some chic, daughter to one of the church elders, got a stomach na akasema ni ya pastor. Jamaa alipokuwa confronted fucker said mwenye kuomba lazima apewe. Disciplinary proceedings kuanza akasema fuck it na kujitoa Anglican na kuoa huyo msichana kama second wife.
Mungu naye sii adhumani. Ule church elder mwenye daughter yake alidungwa mimba na omupastor pia yeye a few days later akapatwa na sakata ya stomach involving a daughter of one of the sheep. Ironically, the church elder was part of the disciplinary proceedings of the now departed pastor involving kuweka mtu mwenye sii bibi yake stomach.
