So there's this neighbour back home. They're our Family friends na akina mama are CWA members of the same church. Tumekamata kinywaji for a long time na yeye and it got to a time alilemewa. Rehab ilimshinda and so like other young people around the area, siri ni kupeleka majamaa Qatar where there's no alcohol. In short ni rehab cha lazima. Two months ago he got Corona and recovered. Akarudi job. Some guy in the workplace reinfected him and this time he went to ICU. He pulled through though and was in isolation until last night. Dude left us around 1am. Now the only sibling, a sister, is inconsolable. The father amepoteza network kidogo and he's not aware of the situation.

That wasn't the worst news. Qatar govt hairudishi mwili these corona times. Immediate disposal. Also by virtue of him being a self-converted Muslim hata they'll not store the body until airports open. Embassy has only helped in giving an official death notification. I really feel for the family because there'll be no closure if they don't get the body.

Very sad moment to the sibling.

ION. These addicts that are taken to the Arab countries, very few get rehabilitated. I also have a neighbor who came back because of Corona before the closure of airspace and is always high.
Surprisingly, most are kids of well to do..

Have you seen the mass graves of Brazil?

These are unusual times and the usual rites are not possible.

Our obsession with cadavers will someday be impossible to maintain. Instead of transporting a coffin, we might have to accept an urn with cremated remains. Personally, after seeing those Brazilian 'resting' places, I'd rather rest on the mantepiece in a silver flask or be scattered on my lawn.

That is a very sad state of affairs. I hope his parents and family get consolations in these hard times. Corona iko na inamaliza watu.
