Yaa umeniecture Sana however you have a point.Mental healthcare was neglected as something important in advanced countries for a very long time because they initially attributed mental illness to "defective genes" in lower ranked races.
They only started focusing seriously on it when science showed that it was equally affecting their own "pure" white children.
Same with drugs. They didn't care about the drug problem because they assumed it was only affecting lower income, black and Mexican families. The war on drugs was only declared once they realized it was affecting white housewives in the suburbs and kids in higher end families/schools.
My point is, you need to focus on the exact issue facing people such as that young man in embakasi and avoid politicizing it or using it to mount some misguided campaign.
The mental health sector is in shambles in Kenya and people who need help do not and cannot get it. Simple!
