In 1972,there were only two black Africans lecturing engineering at the University of Nairobi,Mr.Raila Odinga and Prof.Makau Luti,an expert in thermodynamics.
I think there are more theoreticians in lecture halls today than the dons if the past who committed themselves to practical ideas.

1977.Commonwealth London. Jomo Kenyatta's deputy,Arap Moi represented him in international meetings because the president suffered a mental phobia for flights.
The only occasion when Kenyatta got on an aeroplane since 1963 was during a royal event in Ethiopia.He could not let down his personal friend Emperor Haile Selaise.This was in 1969.
