The funds would have benefited the community better had it been invested in a laboratory or even industrial park. At least that is what I saw in my sojourns in the developed world. They invest the little they have on R&D, biotechnology, biotechnology, nanotechnology, machine learning, artificial intelligence etc not in cathedrals to be used once a week for a few hours.
