kabando is right, next year elections won't be different from 2017, the challenge is on ruto to ensure he achieve more than or almost what uhuru achieved in mt Kenya and maasai regions. His campaigns team knows this that's why he spends considerable amount of time in those regions. This is of course assuming all the other regions don't change a bit.

President Uhuru should start campaigning against Ruto. Huyo Hamas amemkosea heshima kabisa.

If I were him, I would go on annihilation campaign. I would make Lootoall pay a very heavy campaign price in Mt Kenya region. I would make him campaign for every vote. Every MCA seat. Watu waache matharau.
