Eh, Listers wacheni niwaambie - ndoa ni kitu ingine tamu sana.
So last week was my birthday. The specific day was the same day the fall of the Berlin Wall is commemorated. Ni kama nilikuja hii dunia na mazuri. Anyway...
Sasa I was busy on that particular day and barely celebrated and pahali nimefika in life, vitu kama bash sio za maana but kumbe le wifey was plotting something.
Kufika Sato morning...nashindwa mbona huyo madam ameamka mapema hivyo and she had also ensured that my weekend was free. Kufika kitu saa moja, kaniambia tuingie bafu pamoja amemiss shower ya wawiri kwa wawiri. Joined her reluctantly but kumbe alikuwa anataka tu nisiwe mchafu tukisafiri to the other side of the country.
Happens she had booked us for a beach holiday at a 5-star resort in Diani, South Coast, acquired return air tickets and even packed clothes for the stay!
Wueh, saa mbili unusu kufika, naskia Uber imefika twende somewhere...sisi hao, Airport North Road na bado I am in the dark. Kachukua left turn and joined Mombasa Road nikasema baas, let me be surprised then labda tunaenda Maanzoni Lodge in Masaku.
Long story short, in a few hours tulikuwa Kwale County alafu usitake jua package was All Inclusive (Eat & drink all you want including all manner of booze)
It's been a good few days and I decided to switch off everything else and just kick back and enjoy the time. Huyu madam yenyewe amefanya nika appreciate how much those who love you should express it coz upendo is a verb and not a noun.
I was worried about work but alikuwa pia asha bonga na my colleagues behind my back na narudi Friday. Only thing alisahau kubeba was my boxers but I didn't need them much since mzee Mjuols alikuwa on 24hr service stand-by kikikikiiii
Osheni mecho basi starting with Kenya's second longest river meandering in the Tsavo bushland
Mombasani sijui kama ni Likoni au wapi though..
Maji matamu mchana
Na usiku...
By the way, met some Rwandese who'd come all the way, taken covid tests just to experience the beach life. We're truly blessed as Kenyans to have such a vast array of attractions and facilities.
