A detective attached to the Director Of Investigations (DCI) is nursing rib injuries after he got shot by an AK-47 inside a speeding police Subaru on Friday 12th, November.
Police Constable Evans Kilonzo was on Friday rushed to the hospital after his left ribs were injured in an unfortunate incident that occurred at the Miti Moja area in Eldoret Uasi Ngishu County.

The AK-47 rifle, which was in the boot of the Subaru Forester KBJK 99J the officer was travelling in, discharged a bullet after the vehicle hit a bump at high speed.

According to police reports, the dislodged bullet brushed through Police Constable Evans Kilonzo’s left rib who was in the company of his colleagues on routine patrol when the incident happened.

“The officer sustained a slight injury on the left ribs as the bullet passed through the tissue but did not enter the chest cavity,” reads the police report.

Kilonzo is nursing the gunshot wound at the Eldoret Memorial Hospital. Doctors informed the police that their colleague was in a stable condition.

Really Mwalim.
Police vehicles jump bumps every day at high speed and guns don't go off.
And they ain't in the boot.
Guns have a safety lock.
So hapa tunachezwa live live mchana
So who told you the safety catch was on and that there wasn't a chambered round? Or the age of the gun...in short there isn't enough data.
