Get the new one from Huduma centre bila hustle.
This is one thing NTSA are doing flawlessly.
Book via ecitizen, chose date and time for biometrics and you are done.
After that you wait 2 weeks for your DL.

You can pay for renewal of the old one on ecitizen.
But @Meria is right. The new one is being processed quickly.

Get the new one from Huduma centre bila hustle.
This is one thing NTSA are doing flawlessly.
Book via ecitizen, chose date and time for biometrics and you are done.
After that you wait 2 weeks for your DL.

And in the two weeks before you get you new biometric DL. What do you use? The waiting slip vile wengine hutumia waiting slips za ID?

Yes. If the cops check your id number to see the status of your DL it will show valid until the next date of renewal.

It's not a must (for now). I know plenty of people who have simply renewed the old ones. But its better to apply for one and just have it as the phase the old one out. You know how this govt is, any day you will see a notice in the paper that the old DLs are invalid effective 1st July 2021. Then there is a rush to get it. The way they harassed us with passports

Then check on your DL status after you input your ID number
