The farmers uprooting it are those bound by the traditional thieving coffee marketing channels.

Those that have found their way to the auctions or more honest agencies are making a killing. Kenyan coffee is highly valued because it is used to improve inferior types during blending.
 
High value merchandise is normally escorted by armed pambas.
Am talking of phones and laptops.
A container may be over 50m depending on brand.

Problem with coffee is that it is harvested, shelled, dried and bagged in an extremely slow, almost primitive process in cooperative collecting points. It can be stolen at any point: off the bushel, during transfer to factory, on the drying beds, or dry in bags as happened above. You cannot hire Pamba along the whole chain.
