I think it’s naive of the government to think that they can possibly control corona virus and by extension people freedoms via curfew. People just shifted the hours. I’m somewhere along the bypass and people are having fun like it’s midnight before curfew. Essentially people just moved their hours.
I think it would be a more prudent approach to use community sensitization of Covid rather than trying to use force. Same way you can’t use curfew to force people to wear condoms. I’ll send pictures.

Which is unfortunate coz with the ‘measures’ are just affecting people’s businesses and nothing more. One of my hangout places ‘pangani shopping centre’ where a lot of guys rely on the people hanging out in their cars there to sell miraa, coffee, shawarma, njugu etc has become very unfavorable for the small biz owners. Yaani cops start harassing them as early as 9pm when the curfew was 11pm. Motorists are forced to leave, which means less biz hours for the business owners.

Only serves to kill businesses coz people always find alternative ways of gathering. Kama si club ni kwa gari kwa parks. Corona virus can only be fought via sensible community sensitization. If people don’t perceive the threat in reality, how can you expect them to stop meeting?

Kenyans are just following their leader's example.
Those leaders held parties, funerals meetings and travelled outside restricted zones during the 'lockdown' all while lecturing Kenyans on the need for discipline

Meanwhile they did nothing to prepare for reopening

1.No policies and standards set on how bars and restaurants should operate
2. No standards for schools
3.No mass testing policies

But why am I surprised when we have a drunkard and a mad man for president and PM respectively

Folks have not appreciated yet how serious this pandemic is and till then we need to be very cautious government being right or otherwise.
