You need to familiarise yourself with matters concerning the militarisation of politics which eventually leads to the politicization of the military.
What Uhuru is doing has nothing in trying to improve the country. It won't end well. He is supposed to improve the current civil service but he has allowed it to be 'governed' by his family. Military men don't question, they are trained to follow orders, whatever they may be. He is basically running Kenya the way the colonial government managed Africans...using military men to the extent that even the first principals in most European schools were retired military men.
There's nothing to be happy about. It is a way of corrupting the army so that they don't ask him to leave as they did Moi.
It is a very stupid move
Slippery slope argument.
How many military officers have been given civilian roles? Were those officers promoted on merit? Are you familiar with Tonje rules?
How exactly is the military being politicized? Has the military been commenting or participating in politics?
